A few weeks back, I did a blog on the early Las Vegas Lines for a majority of the marquee college football games in 2014. While those early lines are a good indicator of what the line will be, there are limits set on what you can wager on those games. In the last couple of days, “official” lines have been released for all of the week one college football games by several major casinos and these lines do not have a wager limit.

Keep in mind PhilSteele.com is a pure college and pro information site. There is no gambling information on this site. Any mention of the point spread of a game is to let you know who was favored and expected to win when the games were played.

As you can see 24 of the 39 games listed have a double digit point spread with only 9 games having a Las Vegas line under a touchdown. Defending National Champion Florida St is a 17.5 point favorite over Oklahoma St in a game that will be played in Arlington, Texas. When you consider that since 1999, the National Champion from the previous season is 15-0 with an average win of 44-13 in their season opener, that line seems right.
