Today’s blog continues my in-depth look at my New and Improved Experience Chart. For 7 years I had listed an experience chart, which broke down the number of seniors, juniors, sophomores and freshmen each team had in the two deep and rated the teams experience level with a formula I devised. In 2009, I made the experience chart FIVE TIMES better.
Today I will look at the % of tackles returning. I took all of the tackles made by the team a year ago and then took all of the returning tackles from 2013 for the percentage.
Air Force leads the way by returning 89.55% of their tackles from last year. The Falcons return 9 starters on that side of the ball including 17 of their top 19 tacklers! It’s safe to assume that they should be one of the most improved defenses in the country after allowing 40 ppg and 490 ypg a year ago. UTSA is #2 with 89% for the second year in a row as they return 10 starters and 14 of their top 16 tacklers. Ole Miss is #3 with 85.44% as they return 9 starters from last year’s team including 15 of their top 17 tacklers.
At the bottom of the chart is Arizona St who returns just 30.8% of their tackles from last year. The Sun Devils only return 2 starters on defense and lose 10 of their top 12 tacklers. Oklahoma St only returns 4 starters on defense this year and return just 35.3% of their tackles as they lose 8 of their top 9 tacklers.

2014 College Football Preview Available Now on iTunes!
Last year was the first year my College Football Preview magazine was available on iTunes to download to your iPhone or iPad. In that initial year, we naturally dealt with some issues through trial and error and it was not available to purchase until mid-August.
This year’s version is vastly improved on several fronts!
1). It is available WEEKS before the magazine hits the newsstands on June 24th!
2). It’s easy to use and works perfectly for both the iPhone and iPad. The download process may take up to 10-15 minutes but that’s because we have 352 pages with jampacked information!
3). No bugs, no issues, take it with you where ever you go!
4). Non-U.S. Customers: The magazine will not be on the newsstands internationally, the only way to get the 2014 College Football Preview is to order through our offices and pay at least $35 (includes S&H) or get it on iTunes for just $9.99.
5). It’s only $9.99! On the newsstand, the magazine will cost you $12.99.
Don’t wait three weeks until the magazine hits the newsstands. Get my 2014 College Football Preview right now for just $9.99 on your iPhone or iPad!
Coming Soon to Google Play!
Please note: after downloading and purchasing the App, please make sure you search for 2014 if the old 2013 cover/edition comes up on your screen.
