2015 Preseason Award Watch Lists

While analyzing team performances is the staple of my magazine, one of the most enjoyable aspects of college football is watching the incredible individual performances.  Since players come and go due to graduation, each year brings a new crop of promising newcomers, many of whom will rise from obscurity to have a great year.

In the back of my magazine each year, I include lists of the various individual award winners.  I am fortunate to be on the selection committee for many of these awards and I take my responsibility as a voter quite seriously.  Although, as mentioned above, some players will surely come out of nowhere to have a great year, the preseason is a good time to start recognizing some of the current and future stars of the sport at different positions.  To this end, several of the award committees have released their watch lists, which are detailed below and some of which were based on my input:
