VALUE PLAYS: SATURDAY EARLY SLATE

QUARTERBACKS

Joe Hubener, Kansas State QB ($6500) vs. Texas Tech
:
Hubener ran for 153 yards and two scores last week against Baylor and could match those totals this week versus Texas Tech. The Red Raiders rush defense is nothing short of awful, allowing 33 rushing scores on the season. Hubener seems like a good bet to tally a couple of rushing scores this week and easily make value. He has big upside and appears to be a solid #2 QB option this week. Expect this Wildcat to run all over the Red Raiders in Week Ten.

RUNNING BACKS

Jovon Robinson, Auburn RB ($4700) vs. Georgia
:
This JUCO transfer is finally starting to live up to the hype that surrounded him entering this season. He ran for 159 yards and a score last week against Texas A&M and appears to be becoming the bell cow back that many DFS players envisioned he would be for Auburn. The Tigers running game is starting to heat up and that could continue this week against Georgia. Look for this game to be high scoring and expect Robinson to have a big hand in all of the fantasy fun. He could easily reach value this week and be a terrific value play. Play Robinson now before his price goes way up.

Gerald Holmes, Michigan State RB ($5000) vs. Maryland:
Holmes started last week against Nebraska and responded with 117 yards and a rushing touchdown. He could have another big game this week versus a Maryland rush defense that has struggled to stop opposing ball carriers this season. Holmes appears to be the spark that the Spartans needed to jump start their dormant running game. Look for this Spartan to top the 100-yard mark for the second week in a row and also find pay dirt for the second consecutive contest.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Kavontae Turpin, TCU WR ($5000) vs. Kansas
:
Turpin has proven to be a top level playmaker and has snagged seven receptions in each of the last two games. He could see that reception total rise this week against Kansas with the injury to Josh Doctson. There will be 10-15 more targets to go around if Doctson sits out and Turpin could take advantage of the increased opportunity. The Kansas pass defense is the worst in all of college football and has almost no chance of slowing down the high powered TCU passing game. Look for Turpin to make a few big plays and find the end zone this week.

Ryan Switzer, North Carolina WR ($4800) vs. Miami:
Switzer has gone over 100 yards receiving in the last two games and is averaging 26.3 DK points during that time frame. He could have another big outing against a Miami pass defense that has given up plenty of big plays this season. Switzer could beat the Miami secondary for a deep bomb or two this week and easily reach 3 or 4X value. This Tar Heel could be a great value play this week and could make for a nice GPP option. Expect Switzer to remain hot this week and torch the Hurricanes.

VALUE PLAYS: SATURDAY LATE SLATE

QUARTERBACKS

Kevin Hogan, Stanford QB ($6800) vs. Oregon:
Hogan is averaging 24.56 DK points per game over the last three contests and could exceed that average against Oregon this week. The Ducks pass defense is nothing short of awful, ranking 126th in the country and allowing 29 passing scores on the season. Hogan seems like a good bet to tally a few scores this week and easily make value. He has big upside and appears to be a solid #2 QB option this week. Expect this senior to have his way with the Ducks in Week Eleven.

RUNNING BACKS

Jordan Canzeri, Iowa RB ($5700) vs. Minnesota:
He’s back! Canzeri has missed the last four games with an ankle injury and by all reports is 100% healthy and ready to go against Minnesota. In the four games prior to injury, Canzeri averaged 32 DK points per game and was a true work horse back for the Hawkeyes. Look for him to be back to his old productive ways against a Gophers rush defense that is average at best. Another 100-yard effort and a couple of scores seem about right for Canzeri in Week Eleven.

Soso Jamabo, UCLA RB ($3800) vs. Washington State:
This true freshman has scored in three straight games and could make it four in a row against Washington State this week. He has a very nice matchup with a Washington State rush defense that ranks 109th in the country and could have a hard time stopping the Bruins running game. His price is super low and he could be a terrific punt play at RB this week and could easily hit 3X or 4X value.

WIDE RECEIVERS

DeMarcus Ayers, Houston WR ($5500) vs. Memphis:
Ayers has struggled a bit that past two games, but is still the #1 option in the Houston passing game and could bounce back in a big way this week against Memphis. The Tigers pass defense is ranked 120th in the country and has been getting shredded on a regular basis. Look for Ayers and the Cougars passing attack to get back on track this week in a potentially high scoring game versus Memphis. This is a huge game in the AAC and Ayers could show up big time. Look for this Cougar to put up #1 WR numbers at a discounted price.

Devonte Boyd, UNLV WR ($5100) vs. Colorado State:
Boyd is an elite fantasy wide out that has struggled a bit this year due to poor QB play. He has turned it around recently with an average of 25.8 DK points per game over the last two contests. Look for Boyd to continue his hot play this week with QB Blake Decker back at the helm. He could make for a solid GPP option on the late slate. Expect this Rebel to top the 100-yard mark and possibly add a score against the Rams.

Jake Maulhardt, Wyoming WR ($4000) vs. San Diego State:
Maulhardt had been on fire lately with an average of 19.87 DK points over the last four games before last week’s stinker against Colorado State. The subpar effort last week is easily explainable with Cameron Coffman missing the game. Coffman is expected to play against San Diego State and that could really help the fantasy outlook of Maulhard this week. He could be an excellent punt option and appears to be underpriced considering his recent production.
