Most Improved Scoring Offenses.
In today's Blog I will continue on with the Most Improved and Least Improved Scoring Offenses. The Most Improved Pass Offenses blog can be found <here>. Every year in my magazine I list the teams that I think will be the most improved and least improved prior to the season. This past year that chart was found on page 42. Southern Miss ended up the most improved (#2 on my list in the 2015 magazine) going from 19.0 ppg in 2014 to 39.9 ppg last year. Also SMU (#1 on my list in the magazine) ended up #2 in 2015. From my Top 15 in the magazine 13 teams ranked in the Top 41. 8 teams ranked in the Top 21 being Southern Miss, SMU, Oklahoma St, Stanford, Michigan, San Jose St, Ohio and Virginia Tech.
The chart listed below is ranked in order from the most improved to the team that had the largest set back in scoring offenses which was Charlotte (#128 in my magazine) went from avg 38.8 to 17.5 ppg. Of the bottom 5 teams that made my list in the 2015 magazine, all 5 were in the bottom 44 on this list. 3 teams in the bottom 11. Those teams were Georgia Tech, Michigan St and Charlotte.
The first column is last years offense ppg. The second column is offense ppg from 2014. The 3rd column is the difference between the two with a positive number for improvement and the 4th column gives you their ranking based on improved scoring offense from last year.
