Best Workbook to use in 2016.

The season is about to begin and we are getting a lot of requests thru the office for a book that you can log the scores in and make notes on each team and game for the upcoming season. These types of books used to be commonplace but with less and less things being printed these days, they are almost extinct. I have found the perfect book if you need one of these and can even get you a discount on it.

This is the type of book I started using when I was young to keep track of the teams during the year. I remember my Dad buying two books during the year, one was blue and one was red. I think one of them was called DAX. My Dad filled out his book with the scores and lines of the games and made notes about the games. I filled out my own book with scores and notes on the games as well. By filing the book out each week I wrote down the score of every game and this allowed me to keep track of all the college and NFL teams all season long.

I have continued to use books like this every year and find writing down the scores and lines and notes on each game vital. Those blue and red books went out of business some time near the turn of the century but I had already found one that I used each year that not only had the record keeping section which I consider a must but great information on each team. The book is the Northcoast Sports College and NFL Scorebook.

I have attached a picture of the two full pages on Alabama and Denver near the end of this blog but I can go over the valuable content with you. On the left hand page are the last 20 YEARS results for each game a team has played with byes pointed out and something I really like and that is what the HALFTIME scores were, plus the Over/Unders. Below that are the complete stats for each team for the last 20 years and it includes the conference records and overall records and who the coach was each year over the last 20. On the right hand side where the logs are, there are all kinds of numbers for those of you that like to travel to Las Vegas. They have 55 different categories broken down for each team over the last 10 years. Next to that is the individual player stats from the 2015 season.

This book is 350 pages and it is on 8’ x 11” white paper so it is sturdy enough to last all season and plastic spiral bound so it lays flat for easy writing. It is the book I use each year to log in the scores of games and keep track of all my little notes on the games I watch on my 12 TV’s every Saturday and Sunday.
