2016 Top 50 True Freshman WR's and their Impact on the season.

Lets continue on with the 2016 Top 50 true freshman today and talk about the wide receivers. Just like the running back position, more true freshman had an impact last year for their team. 31 (62%) of the Top 50 wide receivers contributed in the 2016 season.

One player came close to 1,000 yards receiving. Ahmmon Richards (PS#48) of Miami, Fl led the group with 934 yards (19.1) and 3 touchdowns. Coming in second was Demetris Robertson (PS#2) of California with 767 yards (15.3) and 7 touchdowns. Rounding out the top 3 is N’Keal Harry (PS#7) of Arizona St who had the most receptions with 58 for 659 yards (11.4) and 5 touchdowns.

The top yards per catch in this group with at least 10 or more receptions goes to Tyrie Cleveland (PS#20) of Florida who averaged 21.3 ypc on 14 receptions. Kyle Davis (PS#6) of Auburn came in second with 20.7 ypc on 12 receptions. In a close 3rd, Devin Duvernay of Baylor averaged 20.6 on 20 receptions.

Out of the Top 50, 20 players had at least 1 touchdown in 2016. Demetris Robertson had 7 touchdowns and N’Keal Harry came in 2nd with 5 touchdowns.

The Top 50 wide receivers from the 2016 class combined for 6,572 yards receiving with 46 touchdowns and 12.9 yards per catch.
