2016 Top 50 True Freshman OL's and their Impact on the season.
We will continue on with my 2016 Top 50 True Freshman and their impact on the season with the Offensive Linemen. Here we will measure their impact on the season by how many games they started this past year.
On my 2016 Top 50 offensive linemen list only 9 (18%) of the players had at least 1 start on the season. Out of those 9, only 4 were in my Top 10. Also, of the Top 50, only 12 played in at least 1 game last year, and 6 linemen played in every game for their team.
Lets take a look at the only two OL that started every game for their team. PS#2 Jonah Williams of Alabama started all 15 games and made my 2016 Postseason All SEC 3rd Team. PS#17 Michael Jordan of Ohio St started all 13 games and became their 1st true freshman to start on the offensive line since Orlando Pace in 1994.
Here is the complete list of my Top 50 True Freshman Offensive Linemen from last year. We have listed whether a player red shirted or transferred during the season. Also listed below is my Top 50 Offensive Linemen for the 2017 class. On Saturday we will continue on with my 2016 Top 50 Freshman Defensive Linemen.
